About Uta Trogele

Introducing the Theology of the Body through ballroom dance

Creating community and providing Catholics a tool with which to evangelize

In 2014 she became co-founder of Culture Project International, a  movement of young college graduates as  missionaries who promote respect for life, a chaste lifestyle and ultimately provides Catholics a tool to evangelize.

From 2010 to 2014 Uta took classes in Theology of the Body at Pennsylvania’s Theology of the Body Institute, which is dedicated to making the profound riches of Saint John Paul II’s Theology of the Body accessible and applicable in the lives of men and women around the world through an array of outreach and educational offerings.

Through her experience at the Institute, Uta was afire to bring the message of Theology of the Body to everyone, especially young people. While living with Bob in Hong Kong in 2013-2014, she taught Theology of the Body to teenagers, parents and young adults. When the Trogele family moved back to the U.S. in 2015, Uta met Sharon Boies, a very experienced dance coach in Newport Beach, California, who in addition to being a devout Catholic taught ballroom dance in a very different way — through the teaching of the Universal Unit System.

Ballroom dance was revealed as a vehicle to teach Theology of the Body!

Since 2022, Uta has introduced many teenagers and adults to Theology of the Body through ballroom dance and her Touch of Dance interactive educational entertainment. She has brought Touch of Dance to the Catholic dioceses of Detroit, Monterey (California), Redlands (California), Fresno (California), and Orange County (California) where she now resides.

Through Touch of Dance, Uta has come to realize that ballroom dance is not only a great way to teach Catholic values, it also creates community and ultimately provides Catholics a tool with which to evangelize. Ever since then she has wanted to give young people an opportunity to have fun while also showing the world that it’s great to be Catholic!
